Effortless ways to make your money go further
With summer holiday season just around the corner and just 27 weeks until Christmas (eek) many of us will start feeling the pinch soon. But fret not – here are five fast and simple ways of making your money go further.
Take online surveys
If you do online shopping, make sure you sign up to a cashback site to receive money back on most items you buy. Quidco and Top Cashback are established sites, and by simply clicking through to the website you want to shop from can help you earn extra money easily. Why not also switch to a cashback credit card whilst you’re at it? Money Saving Expert have a great guide to help you choose the best option for you.
If you’re buying something in a shop, see if they are offering a discount if you open a store card. Just make sure you pay it off! You don’t even have to use it again. If you shop with a large supermarket, join their loyalty scheme as points can very quickly build up (and don’t forget to check if you have unused points which you can spend or convert into vouchers). Also, before a day out or before buying anything online, run an internet search to see if there are any offer codes or two-for-one deals currently available. For a family trip to a large theme park this could save you a lot of money.
If you don’t mind your car being covered in adverts, this can be a great way to make money effortlessly. There are a fair few companies willing to pay you money for handing over the space . If you plan to have a new fence put in, a new drain, windows, or a garage, why not ask the company beforehand if they will give you a discount if you advertise for them? Many will be keen to proudly display their work with a sign next to it, which could save you some serious cash.
Influence the market
Believe it or not, plenty of companies would love to know just what people buy and when. Nielsen is a reputable site offering rewards in exchange for your shopping data. Simply sign up for free, scan all your purchases and earn rewards in exchange for your time. Also, if you have a bit of time on your hands you can even get paid by searching the web and seeing paid adverts, using sites such as Qmee . It’s simple and you can even do it in your pyjamas.
With just a tiny amount of effort you could soon start to notice a difference in your finances.
